I'm cruising the pic's thinking that's cool, that one's nice, ahh sweet sled. Then I scroll by the Toyota station wagon  OMG. Why did you take a pic of that? It's like someone sends you one of those joke Emails with Hot Babes, your scrolling though them and the last one is a Trailer Trash Babe!

    Mark,
Thanks for the pictures. Looks like a lot of folks having a great time. Reminds me of a time when the whole world looked up to the US.

  12. I reckon you have to be "into" Japanese cars to know that those Toyota Crowns are uncommon in modern times. Even finding a 10 year old car on the road in Japan is a not the norm. Recent typical day at Mooneyes has a trio of Crowns out front. A wagon, a "Ranchero" and really cool 4door Ranchero / Ute thing..

Hey Mark, thanks for the pic's! It looks like I was there in Japan 1 weekend too early. I ended up only having 1 free afternoon before heading home (Sat.) and a Japanese co-worker drove me down to Yokohama to the Mooneyes store.

    Again, thanks for the pic's.

I like that toyota wagon, you've gotta remember that not everybody in japan has the $$$$$$$$$$ for american tin.

  21. Those Vans with the American front end and the ones with the Chevy truck front metal are awesome!

    Ok, Ok.

Those teeny vans are from a categorie known as "K-cars". They feature a 600cc OR LESS motor that avoids a LOT of tax and registration fees, usually made by Daihatsu or Suzuki. They cost about 8 Gs brand new.

    eg Suzuki Cappucino

The guy standing next to them is 5 foot tall.

If you look carefully, 2 of them are actually NOT vans, but miniature station wagons.
