Well been workin on the coupe in between jobs and got my seats mounted and some of the flooring done. I'm waiting on the sheetmetal till I get my fuel line ran, it's a lot easier to mount it when you can get to the inside of the frame. The dash is mount along with the column, but I think I'm going to raise the column and notch the dash for it to fit in.

I made the seat hinges copying the design of the trunk hinges, I wanted them to fold forward and since the floor kick up would be close to the back of the seat I had to make them move forward while folding. got it all figured out and decided they needed to be lightened!:D

    UPDATE: 10/2/08

Finally getting these seat finished. Got the brackets done thanks to Chauncey (Black Magic) for cutting some arced brackets. That was all I needed to finish them up.

    So here they are.

I really like the dashboard! Is that a custom creation or is it from a donor vehicle?

I actually scored those from a church that was closing down, they are old auditorium seats. I ended up with 2 dozen of the wood backs and three seat bottoms.

  18. Hudson wheels = cool. dig the car.

  19. Kool idea on those hinges...I like them a lot.

Be sure to keep posting the progress on this one. I'm really liking the looks. The fact your going to make it shiney is really cool. Enough of you guys finish them shiney and I'll have to reconsider the finish on my old heap.

  27. I friggin' love it. It ain't easy to perfectly proportion a tall T but you have in no uncertain terms done it. As of this today, Mercury Charlie's old car is the second coolest Tall T I've ever seen, IMHO. Congrats, Chadillac. I'm droolin'!

I've never been a big fan of T coupes.....always thought they dropped the front of the body to much - you hit a home run on stance though.....it be smoken hot with the chop...nice dash & the seats.....great score.

I'd be very happy with this ride. Nice job so far.
