Whew. There for a minute I thought I was gonna have to buckle up for the bumpy ride. Cool old shots. I've gotten into watching the old B&W movies on AMC just for the street scenes; That and quality time with the wife... as far as she knows anyway. Vance

If that's o/t, then I'm on the wrong board. Those first few pics give me goosebumps. Oh to live in a world where every car was a classic... I was born in the wrong time, man. Thanks for the pics. The first one would make a killer oil painting.
Cool, glad u like as i say not my pics, just half-inched them from my other regular haunt 'cos i thought you'd like.......theres' a few others, but not US content, general euro/vw stuff. 'On the Grosse Glockner' for the germans....'Munich autobahn' UK guys.........caption 'the m4' (motorway)....how quiet is this??!!
Ahh my home town of Buffalo, New York. The image gives me goose-bumps. I just wish it looked like that when I go back each time. I would love to have that first pic blown up and framed for my living room. Any idea where I can located it or who owns it?
Grosse Glockner...my '48, bought new by my Father, carried its GG decal (German equivalent of "This car climbed...") for many years...don't know when he scraped it off.
I'll never get over how cool it is to see guys in suits back in the day. Seems like back then guys put on a tie to change the oil. Dig how close to the riders they are, hope nobody looses traction!
Nice for a painting was my first thought before I scrolled down. Very cool shots thanks for posting them. Any more? BR
everybody got their cryin towels handy?........ i hate this picture with the fiery passion of a thousand supernova suns!!!
the guy put the odd 1 or 2more up,but they were mainly promo stuff for things like late 60's volvos, the odd vw and for the uk guys i think there was a vauxhall viva LOL! Incidentally, the 1st 2 images are kinda the idyllic images of 'classic' america that come to mind as a euroipean when i daydream 'bout that kinda stuff.......nice to see it wasnt all tv myth lol.
