Ok, I'm a wiring idiot, so can anyone tell we what wires connect to my 4 wire Dietz turn signal switch? I know that yellow and green are left and right, and red somehow completes the yellow and green circuit, but the brown wire does nothing...so what wires go to red and brown?

Not familiar with the unit at all but red is usually used for "hot" from battery.?
If it's only got four wires I don't think it will work wired into the brake light filaments, if that's what you were planning.
My aftermarket switch has 12 wires, I think.

I know it's not a Dietz switch, but it might help.

I also have a 60's Napa switch that's identical to my Dietz, and it too only has 4 wires...
