52 years old only guy in the car, car darted right and left got caught in a groove in the ditch and flipped he was thrown out slightly car landed on his arm, has chest injuries and will be ok, listed as steady;)

the first comment on the article has the guy complaing that these car are not built to any standards , so it serves him right for crashing, they are just made to go fast:p

Får ikke sagt det nok: Når en kjører veteran, eller bygde biler, husk alltid at sikkerheten på disse er ikke etter dagens standard! De er ikke bygget for fart! Håper virkelig det går bra med fører

    Sure hope the driver's O.K..

Scary sight, regardless of which ever type of vehicle.

Knowing what the Norwegian roads are like, having driven them in my Fad T bucket, he's lucky to get away with so few injuries.

I just had 2 Hot Rodders from Norway in the shop for a visit !!!! They translated the news report for me , as above, Small World We Live In. I thought it was snow in the ditch but it was foam from the fire dept as they smelt gas, & sprayed it.

I use to see that car in Hollywood all the time before Biran bought it..he definatly owned
it at one time. Then I think it was sold on ebay if I remember...that really sucks hope the driver gets well soon without many injuries...

I guess Setzer did indeed own it!

  22. Only on the HAMB can you get three translations from Norwegian to English in under 40 minutes!!

Sounds like a miracle he wasn't hurt worse.

  25. Hmm, I'll take it, I can fix that up in no time, pass the duct tape!

  26. After seeing that, the aesthetic appeal of roll bars improves.

That car was built here in wisconsin and then bought on ebay and went to cali. The original builder was a kid that worked at a hardware store. His name is Brian Shimmery, a great guy, and a pretty cool car. sucks to have ended like that.

for being rolled over it really doesnt look all that bad. He must have not been moving really fast when it happened.
sad to see that , hope the guy comes thru his injuries ok. and stays with fixing it up or at least parting it out.

I think I will put both seat belt and roll bar in my '30s era single seater champ car, even if it isn't "historically correct".

Statistically speaking, you are better off with a seat belt than being thrown out of a 'vert.

  30. I respectfully disagree. Not to beat up the same old dead horse, but...
What is more common, a head on collision, a rear ender etc.. or a driver-error caused rollover? In anything but a rollover I would rather stay in the car.
