Well my buddy Russ got his car painted so I thought I would put some pics up of it. We hope to roll it out this weekend for some better pics.

Ooh sweet beejus, it looks killer.

  3. That thing is just nuts.

I'm just really impressed with the "Dare to be Different" attitude some of you guys have. It is producing some killer little cars.

Damn! I was wondering about the status of this car the other day...killer build and a testament to the builder for putting it glossy black!

That's an awesome idea, reminds me of the kind of stuff that Thom Taylor is illustrating for Rod&Custom magazine.

for some reason, this car makes so much more sense than the P32 thing Foose did. (and I'm a fan of the P32, except for the nose)

    Great job!

Actually Ed Newton beat him to it back in '88. these pics were liberated from a '91 Custom Rodder magazine.

....and don't forget Ray Fahrner's Eclipse from the early 60's. Nothing that has to do with hot rods or customs is really "New".

Holy crap. I got a pic on my scrolling screensaver of this sucker in baremetal with a proud, beer-weilding owner appreciating the fruits of his labors. Now I got more. Damn that is sweet. SWEET.

Unlike me, Russ gets his cars running BEFORE he paints them. ha ha ha

He did a big smoky burnout in it back in January.

    I think you're being humble.

Besides, there's a huge difference between drawing a picture, incredible and outstanding as it may be, and building something that's got it goin' on. I earn my living designing stuff, but the hat doesn't get tipped until the work is complete, not when the drawings are done.

All that aside... the Stude is awesome!!! The black is perfect.

Now please send some of the water you guys are drinkin', or whatever it is up there that makes your stuff rock so much.
