So, I wanted to do something nice for a pal of mine and thought a good way to free up some resources would be to start my first ever H.A.M.B. Auction featuring some of my more prized possessions. Here it is...

The proceeds of this auction are not going to the H.A.M.B., but instead are going to one of our members that I kind of related to and wanted to help out. The winner of this auction will get:

    1. A Jalopy Journal work shirt. In 1998, I bought 20 used mechanic's shirts from a uniform company and then had them embroidered with the Jalopy Journal logo. This is the only shirt that didn't sell. It's a size large and is in very good condition. It even features a "Auto Workshoppe" patch on the front pocket.

    2. Volume 1: Hop Up Magazine. This is the first magazine that Morton and the boys put together. I've had it... well, since Morton brought the title back. It's in sharp condition - never flipped through.

    3. Issue 1: Garage Magazine. Back then it was just Dan Stoner and David Perry... I helped out some and as a return got a few magazines. This one is in perfect condition - never been flipped through.

    4. Issue 4: Church Magazine. This is the latest and greatest from Coby. Brand spanking new!

    5. The Jalopy Journal Hot Rod and Custom Log Book. This will be numbered 1 of 20. You can read the details on the log book here.

    6. Decals. One of each - the new and old style TJJ/HAMB decals. This is the last sheet of the old style (much smaller and my favorite) decals that I have.

    7. A one year membership in the H.A.M.B. Alliance.

And that's it... A pretty good lot of stuff... And all stuff that I really dig. So bid early and often. I'll pay shipping.

AUCTION ENDS ON FRIDAY, APRIL 18 at 5:00 central time.

Note: If the winner is interested in the story of where the proceeds are going, I will be happy to share it with them after the auction. However, this is all kind of a surprise deal and I don't want to make it public... So bid on value, not charity.

Dang. Good going, Ryan. I'm out before it has begun but if there is anything I can do to help, I'm in!

What if a guy wants to donate a few bucks to whomever it is for whatever it is?

It's not anything like that... no one is sick or in bad need of money or anything of the sort. I just want to provide a luxury thing to a pal that deserves it. Not a big deal at all...

Like I said, this isn't charity. Bid on the value.
