a friend found this deuce in rockford IL. and bought it. I thought you guys might enjoy it. the 1st picture is as found the others are after he got it home..
I like it ! Hey,10? 15? years ago when I lived in Chicago, went to a sandblaster,(greater Chicago area) he had a 32 sedan sitting up high on pallet racking. Maybe some one can find that one.Happy hunting. For a second I was thinking this one was going to be it.
He bought that, couldn't he see the broken taillight ?? Beats finding it in a ravine/swamp/3 miles into the bush that we usually see, good score.
I know where there is a 'T' 5w Coupe on a shelf like that, except it's a bigger shelf and an unmolested complete car. South of Beaverton, OR.
Wow, how about a little more on the story? How he found out about it, how long it's been stored, etc!
as the story goes a friend went to this shop/warehouse to purchase the shelving the car was sitting on. he took the 1st photo with his phone. they moved the body off the shelf to load up the shelf's .he told my buddy about it not even sure what it was. but sent him the photo. the guy owned it since 69 or so drove it to an early nsra nationals in peoria Il. whats even stranger is last month a deuce frame came his was by accident as well. kind of like this car found him. he is an avid hot rodder and will do the car justice.
Let me guess, He traded the guy a 12 packand carton of cig's for it. Cause the guy had no more shelves to store it on. right.!!!! Some people have all the luck. Great score, keep us posted on the build.
I love to see a happy ending. That Deuce deserved to be done right and it looks like it is. Nailhead is just icing on the cake. Don
