    I'd look into the zoning first. The map show what appears to be suburban housing nearby, probably what got the strip shut down in the first place.

    No , what shut the track down was poor mgt

    and, about 3 years ago, there was a bad riot, shooting on
    Juneteenth

    The track was never able to survive that foolishness

    guess you would have to check into the laws but I'm sure its still able to run as a track

  11. big Dad;
    If it couldn't survive before ,what makes you think it would now?
    Looks like it needs a lot of updates..and some bleachers wouldn't hurt..
    better bump that 1,000 up to 1500.
    Let me see, 500 houses on 93 acres..plus pits,plus track and tower...
    hmmmmm.... let me think about that one !

    And I'm sure it needs some repair , yes

    Like I said, there was a shooting there a few years ago and no one would return

    Its just a idea, does not mean its a good one :D

    Q: How do you become a millionaire in drag racing?
    A: Start with a Billion.

    OK, sorry, old joke... ;)

  14. Big Dad;
    Sounds intersting but I think if there's been trouble before.. wonder how many cars it had on any weekend?
    It would still have to sustain itself financially..

    far fetched, big legal hassles, much less insurance nightmares, but just for a minute, close your eyes, your getttting sleeepy, verrrrry sleeeepy and you are going to dream of a permanent home for the HAMB Drags!

    Add a stage, camp grounds, concessions, BBQ pits, motorhome hookups, fire pits...hmmmmmm

    Shit, the phone just rang and screwed up the whole dream!

    I like this idea MORE all the time..
    any honest attorneys on the HAMB?
