    I got my body from Mike Guffy in Hartford City, Indiana. Guffy was pretty serious about not wanting us to make a mold off of it. He had a few $ in buying the "buck" for the mold, which was an steel body from the past. A fellow from Minn. named Morriarti also was involved in it.

    The Texas comp. coupe looks to be the same body.

    The CAR was Quad Al; the builder was Jim Lytle. Four 12-cyl Allisons, as others have mentioned. I was under the impression that the car never ran, was just for show.

    The immortal Jazzy Nelson. Frequently was TE at Santa Ana and San Fernando, sometimes blowing off the fuel rails of the day.

    Thanks.

    [IMG]photo taken in 1966, steel Fiat, Cadillac, tri-power, the car was sold and was re-created in 1998, finished in International orange paint, just like the original.
    Thats me with my Crosley powered four-banger rail under construction on the trailer. I was 15 at the time.

    Just to clear the confusion, this car never ran they could not find anyone that could make the ring and pinions....it was too costly. It is now slowly being restored.

    Here's a few pictures of my 1940 Fiat Topolino that I'm making a street hot rod of. It was an old C/Altered when I bought it in 1976.It was only a striped out shell of a body then. All the fenders are stock units that are widened about one foot each. Custom made running boards and a spare tire cover that I repop that was an original Fiat asc. Fender and running boards were do by Scott Stickley of Ohio.

    One of the owners of Great Lakes Drag A Way in Union Grove Wi. is a"Dyno Dom" If it's the same guy he is now running 2 Willys coupes and a 41 Willys pick up. I know he lives in Chicago or one of the burbs. Next time I see him I'll ask him what he was running in the 60's.

  26. Just received this photo from Rick proctor up in Canada, of the first SD body out of the mold. Went to a fellow named Chris in Buffalo, but I've lost his last name and phone number.

    If one of the HAMBers in the Buffalo area would pass his info on to me...OR...visa versa, I'd really appreciate it.

  27. Hi Rich;
    i took that pic at the Willys Home Run on Sat/Sun..great event 160 race cars and 100's of show cars that the "Clutch Artist' looked after..

    I have a couple Fiat also..One we race, and a spare glass body just in case something goes wrong..
    I've bought and sold several over the years..The last one i sold is racing with us in Ontario.It was an early "Anderson" black chopped version..
