flathead pushrod is this one the good one for my engine Merc 1951

    hi,
    i have the possibility to buy this fuel pushrod, a 8 7/8 inches long.
    my engine is a mercury flathead 1951 1CM.
    could you please tell me if it's the good one

    My fuel pump rod is just a straight shaft, no belled out area on it. Motor is an 8RT but I think that the Merc would be the same.

    That looks like the one I took out of my 39 thru 42 Flathead. Not sure if they are universal.

    I think the other fuel pump push rod is 10.68 inches long. (27.12 cm)

    i have read about 10 1/8 inches long for 49-53 Merc.

    That's not the right one for your engine.

    That one fits '32-48 with certain manifolds. Yours is both longer and bigger diameter, straight with no umbrella, ends made of different material than center.

    That's what Henry called his lifters!! From the deuce Bible: 18-6500, Rod (push), 30 cents retail, 16 needed...
