I was gonna say a few of those pieces looked like they had a Corel Painter + Wacom "hand" to them!

    Nice work, Mister Franco!

Franco is my hero, plus he's from San Jose too:)
Love his work, especially his airbrush stuff that looks acrylic like.
    keep it up brother!

  4. Franco is Swanko - we like having him as a Texan now. and yeah Jeff - he's getting dangerous on that mac

The '08 artwork is killer - the T shirts and posters look great and will be available at the Expo Center - And go see Franco at the gallery show and out at his booth and load up on some amazing art and swag - and check out the Lightnin' Bug in person - too too kool.

Man... is that Jerry Devito's '57 Ford??! Bad ass. Weird that you posted this piece... besides being one of my all-time fav's from this master of the brushes (traditional and digital!), I was literally just discussing the actual car with a client! Those Bob Hendricks scallops rule.

Great show so far, with yet another amazing tribute by Mr. Norwell to one of the greats!! Thanks for sharing all this, Jeff!

gary c, i love the sketch. jeff, thanks for posting some of franco's stuff, im a huge fan. low cab, i think this is one of my favorites from you. custom cory, i always enjoy your whacky creations. here's a 39 chevy custom i did for fellow hamber BigO. the unique design is pretty much all his ideas, i just illustrated them.

    thanks, zombie

Ryan. Congrats on having your car used as a model! (I'd be worried if my car would sneak over to VonFrancos place at night to model…)
Norwell. Von Francos stuff is really good! Love the green -57 Ford-painting.

I got away from the computer this week and picked up my colour-pencils for the first time in 15 years! It's all thanks to you guys and all the inspiration I get here every week. By pure chance it's a green -57 Ford…

Slightly off topic of of cars I suppose, but for those who know "J Bone" at the Berkley Shop Shop, you know it isn't too far off topic. Some of you may remember him cutting hair at Billetproof Detroit this last summer. Jason commissioned me for a new business card for his shop along with a logo:

Oh well....so much for impressing anyone. :D

    Here it is anyhow.

By the way, Von Franco is and always has been a major hero of mine. I think I look at his artwork daily for inspiration. If I ever get my stupid brain, eyes and fingers into a position to be as talented as Von Franco, I think I'll truely have found happiness.
