I finished it all up this weekend. Just thought I'd throw some pix up. Worked out great. raised it up off the ground a few inches and gained a few extra gallons too. Maybe now I wont have to stop for gas 4 or 5 time to get to the round-up. Just got done painting the centers of the new wheels too. Thanks for the help Tan.
see your back seat cushion, that is the problem with the mustang's tank not really the tank though it is the open area from the back seat when it is ruptured and the gas can go all over into the passenger compartment, they sell a panel to weld in to close off the rear seat area on mustang when they are restored , so i would put in a full panel and seal off the interior of your trunk, would finish off your trunk area with that nice air tank and that will solve the big issue with the tank, and again it is not the tank just the unfinished area that allows the gas to go all over inside
Just kidding man... The Mustang was part of Naders "Unsafe at any speed" consumer alert campaign. Your car is killer - keep up the sano work. - Joe
I don't see any vent for expansion. You have to vent the tank to the outside to prevent gas fumes from building up in the trunk area. Just a safety note on my part as I have the same setup as you do.
