I went over to the shop last weekend to pull the engine farther apart in Bud's B for a re-ring job (rings didn't seat after last year's rebuild). Not a lot of fun taking apart what you just put together. My Pops was already there causing a dust cloud on the buffer, putting a fine shine on the 3-2 intake for his latest pride and joy. We both got filthy, but there's no better way to spend a Saturday afternoon. .
Not sure if Pops would like being called "old man", but I guess if you look at it in the context that he's older than the flathead engine he's working on, then it's hard to argue. Throw those Edmunds air cleaners I loaned him on top of the carbs and take a pic.
When I was snapping the pics I told him to look up so I wouldn't get the bald spot. Then I realized I have a bigger bald spot. And more gray hair. Intake is an Austin.
Interesting intake, the way the runners come out at different heights it almost looks like a dual plane.
The odds of inheritance just improved for the older brothers, as the tag-a-long bought his own set...
