So is this one the original that Barris reworked for Dobie Gillis?
    Or a clone?

  10. It's the original not a clone.

I'd throw in $1,000 for one week behind the wheel. I'm sure my mortgage company would understand:D

man I'd love to have that guys collection.. well with a few exceptions.. the nascar can visit a deep lake somewhere.

I saw that chisman Coupe at Pebble Beach a few years ago.. it is an awesome car. I'd also take the Gurney Eagle and the Watson indy car as my 2nd and 3rd choices...

In my opinion, that's the best famous lakes coupe. Different, and meaner than the others.

Who comes up with those crazy estimates of value? Just because of it's known history? There are lots of Bonneville and/or dry lakes coupes out there with forgotten or unknown history that can be had for less than one tenth that amount!

Wow...........I hope that I win the powerball.......Oh wait, I only play when it gets big.........When I clicked this post I really did not expect to the "Chrisman Coupe"......I had chicken skin on my arms.........Dumb question........If I spent 80 coins to get the "Catalog" will there be more pix of the coupe inside of the catalog, other than what is on the web?.........I know, I know.....but, I am "sick" with the Chrisman coupe......I try to collect every thing about it.

In my top five all time. Can't have a No. 1 :) depends on my mood, the 554, Winged Express, Greer, Black & Prudhomme dragster and somebody else's are there also.

and they won't put up the printer friendly pics!!!!!!!! someone go yell at them like your a rich Rolex wearing (real) SOB and demand to see more. On the printer friendly site version. Please.
