Actually no I haven’t seen an issue for a few months… (believe me, I’d cop too it if I had) So someone beat me to the punch huh? Oh well! I had fun w/it anyway… Ed Newton calls that "Parallel Thinking" where people come up with a similar idea at around the same time w/out seeing the other ones work. (It was only a mater of time anyway…) Now I’ll have to go track a Rod & Custom down! What month? The very latest?

Anyway I hear were you’re comin’ from… Thanks! Keep up your good work!

    Stay Cool!

  4. eye bone, May 2oo8! "Back Seat Betty". It's a '31 `A' 5 window shod full of aircraft rivets. It seems like something I've seen here on the HAMB. Can someone confirm that?

I saw the post on that car. I loved it! And I did have rivets on the brain, as a result of it (should be no surprise to most of you… LOL). And that hotrod wasn’t the first one I’ve ever seen to employ rivets. Though it was one of the best!

But my car isn’t about rivets… I did used them as an artistic device to communicate a technological era… and because they’ve got character.

This was a sketch, just something I was playing with for me to get away from the Roth/Newton inspired Bubble tops I usually draw. And to merry a Cal Mod (a style I love… but can’t fit in) with a Bubble top (another style I love… but is only good to look at) just for the fun of it…

Anyway, no big deal… I now return us all back to the Art Show…

  9. That's fantastic. Proud to see such fine work by a fellow Minnesotan.

  14. All of you guys are great at what you do. I used to keep an eye out for the ArtShow on Thursday, just for the jump-starters, & Fridays, too.
Then it's been hectic chaos for the last month, or so. I came back just in time to see some of the best work I've seen, since my last visit.
Always great to see the killer work you all put out, keep it up & maybe I'll be able to find some time to get back on my sketch pad.
    You all rock! Good work.

Here's two of six pieces that were featured in an art show in Bondi Beach, Australia this weekend. The art opening was a huge success and so was the skateboard comp!

Had you given thought to adding some road grime to the tire? Maybe
a dark 'cast shaddow" thick&thin line around the jaged edges, still clean and graphic tho?
Looks boss as is, I'm just putting it out there.
