Yep, newbie hear from St. Louis area. I actually live out in St. Charles. I have a 1949 Ford Tudor Sedan that I am working on currently. I am hoping to have it on the road by spring. I am also working on a 1964 Ford Fairlane that has been on the back burner more times than I can count. I have been lurking on here for a couple weeks, and would like to meet some of the other Hamb folks in the area. I can always use an extra set of hands in the garage and I don't mind helping others either.
Thanks for the warm welcome! I am real close to you Marty, I'm a little south at 94 and Kisker. Hey BombersSTL, I checked out your websites and I am definitely looking forward to catching a couple events. I also saw the info for Rust Revival, and would like to make it up there in the spring.
I go to the Bombers and Chuck A Burger and some of the JJ's cruises. I roll in the biscuit gravy colored '62 Biscayne with the orange steelies. Might catch up with you sometime. M. McFly
Are any of you STL hambers body work specialists? I am trying to get the '49 ready for a coat of flat black, and I need some help getting the rocker panels and lower fenders to flow right. The previous owner did some hack job body work, and I am not sure what to do to get it right.
The Kustomers are going back to the Rust Revival this year, you should cruise up when we do. Last year we went up early on Sat morn, but The Bombers went Friday i think, and they sounded like they had a good time Fri night, so we're going then too so's we can R U M B L E !!! We had a few cars not done, so we took Joe's black and white 54 Chevy. This year we should have a good number. Rick
Well, I am still working on the rocker panels. The passenger side was by far the worst, and I think I have the metal tacked in about where it should be. I have been spending a lot of time lately fixing the shody patchwork of a floor.
I just joined today. I am from Wildwood. I have a 1948 Olds 98 that I am customizing and dropping a 455 in. I also have a 1937 Buick Roadmaster and a 1959 Chevy truck that just got back from the metal fab shop. I also have a 1965 Impala convertible I cruise around in. I am in deep...ha Salt Blake
