I know there is a couple great "picture" threads on 32-34 Ford pick ups. Harring did some photo shops in one After spending an hour foolin around with the search function, Someone post a link please? Or does someone have a good side shot of a pick up. Wondering about bed height to cab, is the bottom of bed even with bottom of cab? You'll see in a couple days why I'm asking......
Not a great pic, this is just a mockup. Truck is channeled 6 1/2" chopped 4". The box is Model A shortened to 50". The top of the rail of the box is in line with the third large (top) feature line on the back of the cab. Hope this in some way helps out.
Cool,Hanning, not Harring.(going by memory of a old post) A found the thread too, started by wes I have another p.u. project I'll share soon. Bought the 33 cab 10 minutes after selling a 33 p.u. grill. (now I need to find one)
Didya get any spare doors? I could use some roached out cheapies for my next project....course I have been told by everyone locally there is no such thing......look forward to seeing your plans, Eric...you always seem to have a good grasp of what looks good....
Eric, I found that thread, but I don't know how to do a link for you. The thread is titled "32-34 pickup pics." If you do an advanced search & type that in, you'll come to it on the third page. Congrats on your '33. That's the year of mine, too. It'll look real good on one of your frames.
Try this thread. There are several profile or near-profile pix in it: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=227453

check out the red one towards the back of Rodders Jnl #19....I reckon the old guy absolutely nails it....4 1/2" outta the roof and 10 1/2" off the bed.
I'm still working on it, but here's how my '32 looks from the side. I chopped it 4-1/2", channeled it 6", channeled the bed about 4-1/2", Z'd the frame in the rear, notched the frame up front to fit lowered posies springs up front, shortened the bed some odd number (13" 15" 17"? can't remember) to try to get it looking symmetrical in front and back of the rear wheel. I lowered the bed just enough to not block the view of the cool little reveal shapes that run along the back of the cab.
