This was one of the last posts from last week and I wanted the world to see my 14 year old son's stuff so I'll start it off after a search. I've got more to come from him and his 12 year old brother, hopefully!

And Happy Valentine's Day!! I hope you all get some candy hearts and that special gift you've had your eye on!

Hey Dan tell Court it looks great, but, where are the GOATS?????
Get that truck done for Billet and I'll stripe it,

  4. That's pretty good for a 14 yr old. Tell him to stick with it.
"You learn to draw by drawing". Most nowadays, want to do everything in the computer. ConGratz to him.

Monkey. Nice job with the shading and the composition. That's a great drawing.

    GaryC.

Here's what I did for HAMB Art Challenge #6.
    It's what's left
after you cut away all of the
parts that don't look like a hot rod
    on a 1946 Chevy pick-up truck.
    The yellow and black one
is how a stock one looks.

That red hotrod pickup is cool. Shoebox tail lites? And is this thing getting earlier and earlier? Are we gonna have the Friday Art Show on Monday afternoon soon? :)

Thanks Surf, I love your work. All with 1 pencil, that is so cool.

Gary, that truck is awesome! Ever done anything with a '54 Chevy? We've got some extra parts!

Great stuff and I'll hook up the boys with the views tonight. They love their art classes and Court is warped about his truck!

Ryan, thanks for not booting me for bringing up his work from last week!

Cherry Pop is sweet but what's up with the Ford caps ?
Here's an older one I did with color pencil and marker.

Gary C- i dig Cherry Pop! Great job with that concept.

Not my painting, but I was flattered that someone worked from one of my photos:

Ellie, a myspace friend on mine contacted me about doing a painting using a photo of mine as reference some time back. She just finished this one which will be going up for auction at the Low-Down Ho-Down Hot Rod and Music festival.

The original photo was taken at Billetproof Detroit 2007 and it's Ms Metal's car. Amy did a fantastic job with that 1953 Chevy and deserves huge kudos on it. I can't think of a better way than to be captured by an artist in a painting. Ellie did change the color to red to perhaps grab a larger audience of bidders and I don't think anyone could complain about it (Red is one of favorite colors after all).

    Ellie's painting:

So if you're in the area, bid this painting up! The proceeds go to helping out Miss Scarlets special needs.

Man, what a great way to start a Friday! The quality of ART here is amazing, young and not so young artists showing their stuff. So much variety. You've got me working again after years of doing nothing. Thanks,I'll post something when the results improve.
