Hi Guys, This thing just arrived at the house tonight. Great car except for a few minor things like the wheels, tires and paint. (oh, and the extra two doors. haha) Anyway I got this to drive while i work on the 51 Merc.....it's a LONG term project.
Does anyone have any suggestions with wheel/tire and paint choice? Any photoshoppers? Thanks!

Yeah, I'm thinking that I like green, just not quite the green that it is. That wagon green is more like it, maybe paint the top white....
I'm thinking skinny whites, I love wide but I think this car is too new for that.

I'd keep it low buck....skinny white wall, black steel wheels, chrome lugs, spider caps or chrome centers

What about medium whitewalls with moon discs and a 2" drop? Oh, and a cream top with matching freeway scallops over the existing green ? Photoshop anyone ?

If you could paint, i'd color sand it a bit and throw a candy color pattern over the green to maybe tone it down alittle, something darker, or just try the scallop deal on it too, I think the wheels need to go and it needs to be dropped, cut 1 coil up front and it all depends how you want the back, but i'd throw some steelies on it, chrome or black doesn't matter, supremes are cool, cragars are cooler, torq thrusts wouldn't hurt, rockets would rock. I know this is a 62, but the green is cool with the white top, and the chrome steelies and whitewalls look good i think, I"d do a skinnier whitewall on your ride. Maybe a 1" 5.60 or 6.00,...

Lowtech, I really like what you have done with yours. I'm gonna go with black steelies for now, does anyone know the stock wheel size for this car? I'm gonna head out to the junkyard this week. I'm also cutting coils asap! I want this thing low.

Lowtech: your package tray needs mowed a bit...it's getting longish...

Lonesome: Keep the green...add some turquiose flames and a turquoise top...stripe it in white...add wide whites and hubcaps...genuine 1963 sled...

Why try to put '40 ford 5+5 1/2" bolt pattern wheels on a Chevy car with a 5+4 3/4" bolt pattern?
Just put chrome reversed Chevy wheels on a Chevy..

And yea, stick with the skinny whites and not the WWW's unless you use a can and a half of rockerbilly hair grease a week....
