  17. i have the brochure for minnesota dragways when the idea was being marketed to area residents and sponsers ...
funny to see how it was promoted at first... and then later banned from the spot under the same sort of propaganda..

so when do jc whitney catologs become collectible?

  19. Air Reaserch (Garret Turbine, now Honeywell Engines) built an Air Turbine Starter (ATS) powered dragster back in the 60's.

They sent out this mailer to see if there would be a market for the ATS's in drag racing. COOL.

It was also featured in the October 1962 Hot Rod magazine.

  22. I love old printed matter. Doesn't have to be auto related, but if it is all the better.

Here is a quick sampling, sorry for the poor quality, I am not at my work scanner.

    Enjoy

My Grandfather Arthur P. Heyer had one of the first auto service stations in the country at the turn of the century. Here is a letterhead from the teens. (In the 30's his son Earl built the Lucky 13 Race Car posted here last week.)

I found an envelope full of Packard factory stationary with matching envelopes when I got my car. Not as cool as the speed shop stuff, sorry.
