    That's Great News!
From a Dad of two young daughters, humbled by your daughters service, commitment, tell her Thank You & give her a big hug for me.
A friend of mine wrote a wonderful song from a parent's viewpoint
when his son was serving with the Marines in Iraq. thankfully he also
made it home safe. if interested you can find the lyrics & audio at

I know how you feel my oldest daughter was in Iraq for an year during the begining of the reconstruction. She is 5'-1 100lbs - BLONDE - with freckles and she was in charge of setting up two Iraq police stations and training the police men.
Her stories of all of the good our troops are doing overthere should make us proud. Their batiallian help set up to neighborhood schools on their own time and we parents sent a lot of pencils and notebooks to help them out. You sure do not hear about that in the news.
We should be very proud of our troops over there.

She is now a Captian in special forces and learning African culture and French language and will be redeployed this August. We only hope it is not back to Iraq.

The good news is when she is done in two years she is going to Austin Texas and opening up a sporting goods store, Sounds like a good excuse to go to the roundup each year????

    I'm happy for your family

Non Commisioned Officer in Charge, I think. I could have that wrong.

Thanks for all the replies. She lives in N.M. so I haven't hugged her yet. Talked to her though and she is home with her hubby and two boys.
