    Here's my mill. 4" mercury crank, 3 5/16" bore, Schneider 260F cam. It's in my '40 deluxe coupe.

  8. Here's one of mine in my '32 Tub. 8BA 239 with a Thickstun tall 2 deuce with Holley carbs, Edmunds heads, converted Mallory SBC distributor, Patricks coated headers. The 3 other's I have are still stock.

    323 cubic inch flathead Ford V8.
    SCAT crank. 4 7/16 stroke. Balanced with NO heavy metal. Knife edged, polished, OD reduced.
    Steel main caps.
    CAT H beam rods. (lightened)
    Ross forged pistons. 3 3/8 + .030.
    D&L radius lifter cam. #4 270 Offenhauser grind.
    Solid guides with bronze inserts.
    Titanium valves and retainers.
    1.685 diameter valves with 5/16 stems.
    Hilborn injectors with custom air cleaner.
    Edelbrock heads. 11-1 compression.
    Harmon Collins magneto with lead plate. (Mag has aircraft coil conversion)
    D&L accessory drive. (Inj. pump, mag, tach.)
    Martas crank driven water pump.
    Water headers.
    High volume oil pump.
    Hayes aluminum flywheel/clutch.
    Gear drive starter.
    2 inch W type headers with 3 1/2 inch O-ringed dumps.
    Baffled center exhaust ports.
    ALL studs in the engine are custom made of 4340HT steel.
    This engine makes over 1 hp per cubic inch on gas.

    or even running at all for that matter...

    It's not rocket science.
    It does take a bit more money to build a go fast flathead the conventional way (no blower or nitro).
    I just wish more guys were interested in vintage racing.
    On the west coast we have races from Washington to Arizona all summer...The best shows are 3 day all vintage...Usually draw 70 cars.

    Be careful Nitroflatty1, the way that is mounted on the engine stand can break the back out of the block, those should be mounted off the exhaust ports
