Thats between you and pops. These were EXACTLY the rear tires he was tring to fix you up with... He offered to bring them to you numerous times.. you were just to "busy"
He had three other guys wanting to buy them$$$ so he had to let them go.

Glad to hear your leaving the cars alone. Let us know when/if you sell them.

Mike did a good job on you dads old push truck.. Looks real cool.

Rootie Kazoootie.. Thanks for the info on Maxwell. I'm pretty sure he is still alive.. He fabricates Wheel chair ramps in vans!

The picture is one of the best "Driver" shots I have ever seen.. The look in his eyes is UNREAL!! Its as if he's saying to the track, "THATS WHAT I THOUGHT BITCH!!" Find it for me guys.. Thanks!

For you "lifestyle" types who maybe aren't up on your racing history and don't know who Bob Harkey is, I won't go into his incredible racing acomplishments, or his 3 yes 3 plane crashes he survived, BUT I am sure you will all remember him best for his stunt driving in the Movie Thunder Road

You will have a blast talking to Harkey. He hangs around here and pops in the different shops around Gasoine alley all the time. He is a character for sure.

These are not sprinters but did come from the HOW team. I did some of the resto work on the roadster (header, nerf bars, body side panels. belly pans etc) and did almost all of the midget. The midget was not actually an Elmer George car but we painted it to match the roadster.
The roadster came with the original wheels with HOW stamped on the rims even though it had passed on from the team. It was the car that Mel Kenyon had his bad crash in at Langhorne and had a Watson style body at the time. The current nose was built using photos from the IMS museum. Interestingly the original side body panels survive with the paint and decals from 1961. We replaced them with new ones to preserve that small piece of history. The upholstery is the original piece and is burned and wrinkled around the left side where the fire was worst.

  27. Those pics of Andretti are neat.

I own the #33 KK Offy Midget. That's the 3n'1 car. He drove it for the Mataka brothers outa' Flemington, NJ. Had it since '88. Don't think it's seen the light of day in almost 20 years.
