Hollywood Knights jackets

I wonder what happened to the club jackets from the Hollywood Knights movie? Wouldn't you love to have one?

they were all encased in an expermintal air tight capsuls.

then shipped to the smithsonian.

their historical significance will be preserved and appreciated for generations.

One is at the embroidery shop that did the stitching!

Same place my club has ours done. The rest probably ended up at the costume department of the studio that did the move.

Dudley is in the phone booth calling his mother. He is wearing a Hollywood Knight jacket as Jimmy gave his to him to take care of while he is going to be in Viet Nam. Problem is, as Dudley is talking to his Mom the jacket he’s wearing says Newbomb not Jimmy. (found this on another site while looking for jackets, never noticed before)

I took this picture in Dec. 2003 at "TreeChop" car show in Fillmore, Ca.

 

They gave one away at a local premier. So they must have made up a few of them to hand out.

 

I have one of those albums I bought back when the movie came out. The knights sticker was removable so you could see the full moon or maybe there is a surpise under it. I don't know because I never peeled it off. The butt opens like a double album and there are movie pics inside the cover.

 

wouldnt it be easier to just hang a "I wannabe kewl, but just cant quite figure it out" sign around your neck ?

It was pretty close to real life in my area (L.A.-Hollywood) in 1959 to 63 but a little bit exaggurated. Roadstar, where did you have that jacket made?

I liked movie so much i had 2 jackets made. 1 is the letter man jacket just like what they wore. The second is a summer jacket. I had these made at a sporting good store. Then i had Hollywood Knights car club plates made. My jacket has Newbombs name on it.

 

Hell who wouldnt if ya could keep her quiet....and yes I got my own PIE WAGON.

 

Part of the reason it took forever to get the movie released on video was disputes over music rights, so soundtracks are probably tough to find.

 

Richard D the Leonard Maultin of the HAMB..............I thought I knew car movie trivia,until I met him!

Anyone know where to get a Hurst Hydro-Stick t-shirt like Tony Danza was wearing? I told my dad I want one for my birthday, I gotta tell him where to go get it.
