Torq thrusts/Supremes/ Astros with slicks

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Slimegreeeeeen, Jan 15, 2008.

  1. I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on some rear cheaters for my 29A.
I'd like to see some different 60's era wheels in combo with slicks. Blackwalls. White walls. What's your fave? Post some inspiration and help a brutha out.

I'll vote for torq thrusts, a set of mags, or a set of cragars.

I have to say Astro's. Think of an old Super duty Pontiac with plain steel rear wheels and slicks, with astro supremes in front and medium whitewalls. That said, do they look as good on an early car...?

  10. When I think of Astros, I think lowrider or custom. Not slicks.

    Mr Moriarity,
What's it like driving that car with the bubble top? Is there a lot of distortion from the curve of the top? Do you get greenhouse heat on a summer day?
You are one lucky man....that thing is killer!

It is clear to look thru, no distortion, never drove the car. I do know that if the sun is out it gets unbearably hot inside

All the above look great... and I love supremes.....Its just the fronts come in a 6" width.....I wish they made them narrow.....5 would be perfect.
