Italmechanica made a sports car in the early 50's and I'd like to find pics of one. I've searched but had no luck. There were only about ten made. They came with a Ford flathead motor sporting the front mount blower that I have. Any idea of where or how I should search for pics? Thanks Clark
Clark, Try sending a message to Tam McPartland at Tam's Old Race Car Site http://www.tamsoldracecarsite.net/ Lot's of knowledgeable people there. Cheers, Kurt
I think you have the spelling wrong. Try doing a google search using - Italmeccanica - You might find a link with pix in the 800 plus search results.
No pic but I found this site. http://www.carsfromitaly.net/others/index.html Look under "The rest: Independent Manufacurers"
Clark Italmeccanica was a small company that produced engines for the fiat racing department. In Italy they were known as I.T. Supercharges. Here is a link: http://www.crosleycars.com/italmeccanica.htm Good luck Vinnie
Metalshapes..thanks! That proves the car did exist. Wasn't sure if I was on a wild goose chase. Beach bum...I'll try that. I guess it would be good if I spelled it right. I think I did when I did my first search. I got a lot of sights but nothing to do with the car. Clark
here is a link to a picture of the Italmeccanica. Its not very informative or a good picture. Look up Cisitalia or Atlas. They are basically the same cars. Also try to talk to Harold Pace auto historian. He is an awesome dude and helped me with some research on a car that I had a lot of questions about. You can find him at http://www.ladawri.com/ Here is the link to the pic that I found http://books.google.com/books?id=gl...8da&sig=DDwu8N1HBIiyEfS4FAgHar2IEuY#PPT110,M1
