    Definitely not shoebox. '55 is correct.

  7. If it's 55 it will have 6V stamped in the case right by the fuse link. I belive 56 had white controls and would have 12V stamped it the case.

    '56 looks completely different (see photo). I believe that the round radio was unique to '55, unless there was some application in trucks.

  11. My aunt had a pink and white '55 Fairlane when I was a kid, always dug that radio!

    I believe Ford trucks used a round dial radio up through 1960.

    For sure a 1955 Ford car. I think I still have one of those radios from when I built my '55.
