Only a fool would take on a 50s mopar in a fender bending duel. They just don't bend. The in-car camera for the stairwell was freaking awesome
Cool clip...some heavy wheeling going on..that Ol mopar was getting a workout..........Kinda glad the 58 wasn't didn't look the the Dodge in the end.... As Sam asked, what exactly is that from??
I've seen movie about 4 times,it's great!!! a real cinema classic even if you consider the hokey filming and dubbing . really suspense ful and the catch at the end is worth waiting for. It's called the "master Touch" or " His masters touch" depending on where it was released and it starred Kirk Douglas and it's GERMAN!!! not italian!! The other vcar is a Opel Kapitan, a real rarity because it's a 327 Chev powered example. Very very few examples survive today.
I forgot to add,it was also Christines acting debut...it was only a bit part at the end but she almost gets it right don't you think?
2 to 4 and back to 2 then back to 4 amore than a few times ,. great editing! Thanks Nads, thats up there with Ronin for car chases.
man that reminds me of im gunna get you sucka, i think thats it. where the black ladys stunt double was a hairy white guy. i think thats it? havent seen it in years.
I`ve seen that movie before. The funny thing is, the guy was chasing him because he left his wallet at a coffee shop.
2 door hardtop, to 4 door sedan, back to 2 door hardtop, and then back to 4 door sedan, and then, at the end....Back to a 2 door hardtop! wow, that's some fancy metalwork there....
Car's kinda going through some Sybil-like multiple personalities throughout the chase scene. I thought in the end they might bury it in a time capsule for 50 years, and have a big-to-do when they finally dig it back up.
Im sure they didn't give a shit then but damn what a waste of vintage tin!! Looks like they should call in Boyd so he can fix it like he was gonna fix that other old plymouth.
very confusing thread title !" We europeans would never do that", I thought well, it´s actually an italian director and the chasing is filmed on the outskirts of rome. There are two german actors appearing in that movie and only some scenes are filmed in hamburg. The rest of the cast was italian. It´s typical for that era, it the 60´s and 70´s they didn´t care about movie mistakes or changing cars in an ongoing scene etc. It´s really fun to watch, thou
Nads, there was an option for 283's in 1965 for the Opel Admiral and Kapitän.The Diplomat had the 327.Also was available as Coupe in very low numbers.I know of one and the guy who drives it is a 70's Elvis look-a-like...
