Tim Nolan, a member on another site I'm subscribed to asked this question about the famed "Uncertain T"" Someone here must have current info or pictures. In search of Steve Scott and the Uncertain "T". The Uncertain "T" was the hit of the car show circuit in the mid 60's, winning EVERY major event it entered including the GNRS, Indy, etc;. But by 1965, the car and it's owner had seemingly disappeared. An ad in Hot rod magazine in 1965 listed the car for sale. Brief glimpses of the car at random shows after that, and then gone for the last 40 odd years. Lets see if we can help him out.....
White Osley for sure. Didn't we do a thread on that about a year or so back? Its up around Vancover BC or one just like it if I recall.
I'm about 10 minutes away from the remains. The owner of the body told me the story on it. But, there are several stories, who knows which one is true.
As Disney says: "It's a small World after all" ... I received an e-mail from an old High School classmate concerning Steve Scott and the "Uncertain "T" ..... It seems that I never realized my friends Wife's MAIDEN name was Scott, and that she is Steve's Scott's Sister !!! .. (and I've known them 50 years!) Steve sent a message to me through her that He is just fine, working hard to establish a new company and has been in touch with Monogram to "re-issue" the "Uncertain "T" in the future. For now, he requests that he remain in the background so to speak, until the time is right for him and the car to surface once again, possibly next year ..... 2008
That's the story I heard. Also that he was working in a pulp mill in Port Alberni, on Vancouver Island, under the name Scott Stevenson. I guess we just have to wait and see......

,, Just spoke to Steve last night - 1. He still has the Uncertain "T" 2. It was NEVER sold. 3. He has NEVER been to Canada. 4. If there is one in Canada, it's a Clone He does plan to bring it out again, but it needs a little up-dating, possibly next year .... JR-Ohio

I still want to find that repo body. I think it's in Parksville, near Port Alberni where I live. There's an Ala Karte repo nose and grill that I have to pick up over there soon, so I should go have a look around......
I'm about 10 minutes away from the remains. Then you must be in California, because it's in Steve's Garage! The owner of the body told me the story on it. Must be a clone, because I just saw it COMPLETE at Steve's house. on 12/20/07 !!! But, there are several stories, who knows which one is true.
Steve is LOL at all these "stories" - JR-Ohio
Humm new guy has all the info.. Your sure your not shitting us? If your telling the truth ill buy you a case of beer providing the car comes out in 2008 as you say and you can prove you actually know him.. Maybe you could get Steve on here just so we know this aint bull shit.. Dave
I'm interested in why the story made it's way up here. Seems bizarre. I'm getting together with the club guys tonight and I'll bring this up. The fiction is almost as interesting as the truth. With that being said, Can't wait to see the original alive again!
The reality is, We'll all just have to wait a little longer. It's been over 25 years? What's another year or two? haha.
Ya time isnt really a factor i just wanted to pull this guys chain and see if he is for real.. Is steve even alive ? If he is really restoring the thing i would think he would have the balls to let like hot rod or some of the mags know cause im sure they will want to do a feature on it when its done.. This is a piss poor way to tease us.. Dave
Dave, buddy- Look at the B/W photo on "Honest Charlie's" page .. Steve is kneeling down, I'm the guy with the Flat-top looking over the tire .... I helped Steve sand that thing down for TWO week-ends when he just started the build ... We were just out of Reseda High School at the time, and I worked for Steve's Dad in "Tony & Jim's Liquors" in the old Piggly Wiggly at Vanowen & White Oak in Reseda, CA Steve's sister married our class-President in high school (1959) - Steve is 65 and I'm 67, the class President John R. is 67 - You can see all 4 of us together at "Classmates.Com" in our Reseda High School Senior photo (and they've been married 50 years) - John lived in Northridge, I lived in Van Nuys, and Steve lived in No. Hollywood, then Reseda ......... you want more ???????
No, Really - I helped Steve sand the body at the start of the build .... He's had some Tax troubles, and is trying tostart up a new company to get Bucks to re-do the Uncertain "T" - and bring her back in '08 - He has been in touch with Hot Rod & Rod & Custom, and will be photographing & documenting the whole thing for a story next year - JR - Ohio
