This guy does his own thing......ROCK ON flower car guy! It's uniquely customized, so it must be a traditional kustom. I guess it could be a Barris car.

That should get this thread locked.

For everyone that is defending the guy, that is excellent workmanship. Too bad he has no idea what looks good and what doesn't. Just because someone is a great craftsman doesn't mean he has taste.

    Just my opinion.

I could care less about the car and it's looks.
    My question is this:

Is the car really named "She Swallows"?

If so, will the next car this guy builds be called "She Likes It In The Butt?

I don't think anyone has said he isn't a nice guy. I'm sure he is. His cars just suck.

Well, apparently this one swallows too.

I don't like everything my friends build. It doesn't mean I don't like them.

I would have taken more time to make that back window actually fit. It just looks like he used whatever was a close enough fit.

The tilted headlights makes it look crosseyed.

The back of the roof looks good but it looses something at the windshield. And the windshiled looks a little weird to me too.
The whole "Grease" chicken fight car race knife blades on the hubcups is just doing something to be different for the sake of being different and not caring if it compliments the car or not.

And the license plate looks like an afterthought. "Shit, I forgot to do something about a license plate. I'll just bolt it on. Hmmm something doesn't look right. Hmmm, maybe I'll make these little spears to put next to it and make it look cool?!?!" . Maybe frenched in the rear pan or deck lid wold have been better? Or run it like a car club plaque when the roof is off? Or mini truck it and put it on a motor and have it run up when the car is on and down when the car is off through a slot just above the deck lid and under the rear roof line?

Obviously the guy has a lot of talent. Personally the car ain't for me but I'm not gonna put him down for building what he likes. If everyone built / drove the same thing it would get boring pretty quick...

I agree 100%, but I wouldn't take my Starliner to a Datsun 260Z show and wonder why no one liked my car and how much work I put into it.

Apples and oranges. He builds art cars. That's just fine. They just don't belong on here. Or at Paso, or at Viva.

It's OK to like a guy and still think his work looks like shit...

It's called integrity... Being true to YOURself... That's not just a luxury afforded Artists.

That car is ugly from just about every angle... I kinda like the back from the belt-line down but just kinda...

The guy may be an artist but isn't like the first rule of art to know your medium?... Time to start checking out pictures of old customs... Do a little research and all that. "Marching to your own drum" isn't always a good thing.

I don't agree. He does have skill. It's like the 500 portfolios I've reviewed in my career as an Art DIrector of people who think they are designers because they know how to work Photoshop and Illustrator.

Technically they have the knowledge/skill, but not the talent or vision.

Paint looks great, I'll give him that. Any other options I'll keep to myself I guess.

that sounds like a bud lite ad...

"here's to YOU obnoxious parade flower car guy!
ignoring EVERY aspect of traditional car building, you create something that only barnum and bailey would love...

so here's to you oh master of the hatchet job..."

I had heard from a good friend of mine that the sign of a good musician was "knowing when NOT to play." I can also remember countless times walking through car shows and seeing a car that was not put together very well and lacking detail and/or quality of workmanship but saying to myself "wow what a great idea" or "that has potential." I think this one played way too long.
