I'm starting to get into my 66 Buick Wildcat convertible running a Nailhead. I've got alot of ideals but always open for more. Thick flake paint and interior, and sitting low on Astros are on the top of my list. What would be on yours?

funny, that's the first thing that came to my mind. then i said to myself "that's stupid". but it's not. maybe not "ideal" but definitely a 60's staple. whether it's chrome steelies, chrome slots, skylark wires, mag wheels, there the pinners are!

Oh hell ya!!! Air bagged. ... I have a 66 electra convertible that is getting the same treatment. I'm using the wildcat stainless side trim on the electra just for a different look. shaved door handles. "fade or panel style paint job". I also want to buy that wooden steering wheel sold on e-bay ($200). I'm having trouble finding astro's or supremes with the correct back space. Have you found anything?

Shaved handles and emblems are all good.
I'm a fan of rolled pans, too, for the 60s custom look.
Here's my Buick, still under construction...

Thanks, leadsled. Got them directly from Radirwheels.com. Standard backspacing, 15" to fit over the ginormous Buick drums.

Yeah, the wheel locks are ugly but it's life in the city.

and some of us like to discuss those things. this is, after all, a discussion forum, not a search-only archive.

  17. YES, they were. Right around 1965

  18. Frenching two antennas into the rear fender a few inches apart from each other would be cool -- with the antennas swept back at angle when extended.

HMMM... how about dual antenna's Impala style. One on each quarter panel angled toward the rear.
