I'm working on a 49 Chevy biz coupe. Got v8, s-10 5-speed, nova rear. In process of chopping top now.

I'll definitely stop by. Don't have too many pics. The ones I have are from a cell phone. I'll try to take some more and post.

I'm learning my way through it. Never chopped anything before.

 

Here's some more pics if anyone is interested. It's not pretty but I think this chop is working out. Still a lot of work to do.

 

Here is the before after photoshop mock-ups. Still not 100% sure if i'm going to use the corvette side pipes.

 

The chop looks great. It's hard to get the right look. You got it correct. A friend and I chopped a 51 fleetline . I am attaching a pic after the chop. We found that 1 3/4 inches took away the bulk but left it looking fairly nice.

 

Thanks Hotrod man. If it was a sedan I would have chopped more... But since it is a coupe I just wanted to get the goofy look out of it without making the quarter windows too small. Do you have any more pics of the 51? Looks good.
