Looks pretty cool. That sure is an easy to read speedometer. What goes in that big round hole in the middle of the dash?
center hole is supposed to have the ash tray. I may put a tach in there if I can't find the ash tray for it. I need a glove box door too...
Nice, i'm going to try to use the whole '52 olds dash in mine though, I have the wheel with the cool horn button too. And then the 303, and a set of 34 Olds wheels, all goin' on a '29 Tudor. Looks cool though. keep us posted.
I think those are late '50s or early '60s olds caps, could be wrong on years but i know they're olds, i have a set of smaller center caps, with the same logo on 'em.
Caps came on the 52 I had. I thought of using the whole dash also but seen one done that way in a late 50's hot rod mag and it looked to low. I might try to use more of the Olds dash, like the key and cig. lighter pods. I have the glove box and ash try for that dash too.
Here's mine too....... 28Model A coupe. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m136/Abone_2006/DENNISAUTOS002-1.jpg
I like how you used the door off a filing cabinet for the glove box. I would have never thought of that. Right On!
Very nice -- might be able to make an ash tray out of some tubing, with some type of odd lid or pull (sugar bowl lid or old drawer knob...??)
I've seen the dash swap in a another car too, but i'm going to try it, see if i can't get it to look right, if not i'll try and use sections of it and something else like you did, but i'm kind of along ways from that so we'll see what happens.
