You guys are true artists! It's too bad you'll be covering it up with a seat.

For those fabrication-challenged people like me, Paul Bradley has a '40 Merc Floor Pan, which he will tell you isn't an exact repro, but it's a great start.

wow, looks like you got your work cut out for you. i'm glad to see people with enough talent to bring cars back to life that look like that when most would send it to the crusher. Jim Sibley's willys comes to mind. great amount of respect for you guys. keep us posted. i love the before and after pics on these kinds of builds.

Thanks to everyone for all the nice compliments:) .Today we hung the doors to the cowl so we could kinda set the door gaps and help locate the rear half of the body.Dave made the panels for the tool tray in the trunk(he makes wavy beads too:rolleyes: ) while I was doing some things on the MustangII.

  23. Doing an awesome job. One question though, why did you not get the body blasted first? I woulda thought it would make the job easier(!) and cleaner.

  27. You're cracking me up! I showed my wife the thread and told her that I totally respect the amount of work it will take to "Frankenstein" that car back together. I would have walked miles . . . but then again, I didn't get to start with a $160 car from eBay. :D I think it is great that they're saving a car that few would have the balls and skills to save.

Hell, I know they'll have their 40 Merc on the road before I even start mine. Too many projects . . . never enough time . . .
