Just a few plates I did this week and a "work-in-progress":A cartoon of my Safari on an old turntable cover. Wish I had taken my camera with me yesterday.Did a truck called the,"936 Special".Name derived from the fact that it has 936 louvers punched in it.Can you say roof, doors(inside and out)tailgate and bed.The guy owns a louver press that he built years ago and only recently bought back.Should have gotten pics of it as well;it's wild.
Here is one that I did a last year. A '32 Ford and a 55 Chevy truck. Adobe Photoshop. Each one can take over 12 hours of work! But well worth the outcome for me. Sometimes I wish I was not so detailed! All illustration work...use actual cars for reference. I give it my personal touch...paint wheels etc. Thanks, Dvierstra Portfolio
Been busy this week trying to work in a different style from what I normally do but it's not done yet. So here's an older image that I use for the intro page of my website;
Thanks Falconizer! Appreciate the comment. Your in Garden Grove...close to where I am, located on the border of Cypress, Garden Griove, Los Al, and Anaheim. Do you go to Main St. or Donuts & derelicts in H.B.? Really nice work Dutch courage! I really enjoy your work!! I notice every bit of detail you include. Especially the flame tattoo on the woman's arm, nice touch. Shaka Bra! Aloha! DV Portfolio
I've been working on some Chevy emblems but in a larger scale. All pieces are laser cut press board then painted - 16-17" in dia.
Those are real nice. Are they cut from aluminum? I use to live near Camarillo when I was a kid. Nyland acres, Port Hueneme and Oxnard. Use to ride my horse in the fields near the state hospital. Those were the days!
Tingler if I ever get any extra money I'm gonna buy a Bunch of your stuff!! That Top hat Monster kills! great stuff everyone, here's a couple from this week.

hey touchdowntodd... good call I took the "keywords" down, I was just trying to generate some visits to my work, but riding the coattail a great artist isn't a great method. No harm meant.
This is a craft box that I reworked. The whale off to the side was in the middle of the wooden border. I popped it out and replaced it with a roadster painted on a piece of plexi. Underneath the plexi is the wood backing that I spray painted gold. This is a panel I painted for "The Capt." of Florida for a panel swap. Bman416
Fwaaaaaaaaaaa..... schhhhhh..... POP! We hardly ever get to see the tail end of a high speed run. The big noise and anticipation of a record go on for a few miles. Then it's all over but the slowing down part. Engine off... coasting along at the double century mark... then pop! The big drag! Here's this weeks installment. I call it "End Run".
Ive been out of the loop for a while, new car, new book, and old problems...everyones stuff looks real good this week. here is my contribution. I am going to do a series of these :wall hangers: Dont have a name for this one yet, but the series are going to be "car alters". this one isnt quite finished, but close (i am going to put candles on the jinguses sticking off of the front and gold mirror behind the crosses).....
Though it would be fun to do a collaborative work with my 5 year old of his "24 eyed Tiki Monster" He sure kicked my ass this week!..
Pure Hell, that is the coolest thing ever! Here is what I submitted for the Art Challenge II. This is the ultimate high speed Anglia. Sander
