That '58 ('59?) is gonna be sweet. It almost makes want to sell my jeep and start on my '58 step side.
Alex. I sent the pics of the '58-'59? to my friend that bought Dan Collins '59 that he owned for inspiration. I love both the trucks that I have seen on this thread that you have your hands into. Keep us updated on both!!!!!!!!! KNUX!
Very cool!...when you're ready for the glass for the '63, lemme know. I wanna see what's cooking in your shop, so I'll bring it down. Bryan
wagoon-- no updates on the pickups yet. Couple other things in the shop going on though. Just was at Alex's shop working on my Caddy (real cool updates coming soon on that, i promise...) -scott noteboom
there g 78's coker bias plys sounds like its a front to back set up install 2 more valves up front and it will get rid of the body roll no the 63 dosent have a sway bar none of our bagged cars do but we always run 4 valves up front
Hey thanks for the info! The truck has a total of four valves, I am planning on installing more valves, but I didnt know that would cure the body role. Still learning this airbag stuff!!! Thanks again!! Chad
those pictures really dont do either one of those trucks justice, they look so bad ass in person, alex`s craftsmanship is perfection, from what i have seen.
no updates on these trucks. hopefully the owners will want to go to full completion and we'll see some progress soon. they've got a good base built now to go on from. now, let me hijack this thread a bit, lol... the Noteboom / Gambino Kustoms '60 Cadillac project is making great progress again at the shop-- in particular this week. The 60's style mods we're doing on this car (especially the body mods that gambino, blacktopbutcher, david and 1950zombie get the full credit for) are coming together great. When i get back into town (week after next,) i'll be sure to post some pics. Alex also possessed me to completely rip out my "too easy" Air Ride Suspension and I did it right (cut clearances, built cups, mounts, etc.) Now this bitch lays frame on the ground and doesnt have the lame rake stance from before. If stance is holy, this beast is going to heaven. oh yeah, and those two trucks are bad ass -scott noteboom
im just as bad with my daughter as i am with car projects-- i forget to take pictures and i regret it later. i need to work on that (i dont even have one right now to tease you with.) if alex reads this before i get back, maybe he'll be nicer than i am and take & post some pics. however, i think it just needs a bit more time before we show.... i'm feeling a bit like Don King promoting a fight, lol. by the way, aren't the triangulated four link setups of these trucks clean? i just love em -scott noteboom
Any updates on these trucks, especially the '63? I'm looking at a 63 fleetside right now and would love some inspiration. Both make me salivate intensely.
This have given me some ideas. Now if Grandfather will let me adopt that old 61 Ford feed truck out of the dead yard...
Now that it's been a few months, I was hoping to bump this thread to see if there are any progress pics. I've seen some amazing vehicles coming out of some great shops, but nothing kickstarts me more than Alex's creations. I might be partial since I own a '58, but I've seen some others that don't do it as much as the Gambino trucks. Truely awe inspiring, Alex!
im sorry to say that bolth of these trucks came to a complete stop after billetproof yes its said esp for the 63 we had planed the full 60's treatment for it same level as kirks would have been a big hit sure wish we could have finished it now the 58 were sapose to get back on it in a few months we will see
Man I am bummed to hear that!! Hopefully you will get to finish them both eventually, no doubt they will be killer!
