you bet! the best those pics are awesome.. im getting some good ideas! dunno if ill chop it, just yet.. i want to see it together first... my paint looks almost like chris's right now, just a little more solid colored... im thinking on leaving it that way, but i guess i will see... my dad had that look in mind aswell thanks guys!
Here's mine, Still not on the road after 10 years of part time working on it starting with a rust bucket. here's some pics to start with: http://autohobbypage.com/photo/list/ford/ford40/f40sp.html
Oddball: any pics of yours? i'd love to see one in the shape yours sounds like its in...unmolested except for father time.
the frame is still barried, my dad is putting a camaro/nova subframe on his 53 ford panel frame... so i have to...... wait........
My brother has a fourty and I want him to build it real bad. he made some room in his garage for it to start on soon. hopfully he will. click on my signature. to see it.
well fellas... i got the frame out and as soon as i get some time on a nice day, im going to sand blast the rest of it and paint it... not the body.. just the frame! then im gonna start setting in the goods...
well.. i have here an update on the 40 pick-up im building... not a HUGE one, but its coming along... im trying to work between the 2(51 and the 40) and it sets back the pick-up at times... anways... here are some pics! got the frame blasted and painted, and set the engine/tranny down in it... makes me anxious to do the rest seeing it this way frame after being painted, frame after setting the power-house in it, here is a cool pic, i think so at least, of the shop... and da fitty one, my baby
nice cars man! working on two at the same time is tough....Maybe that's why everyone advises against it! Good luck- looks like you're on the right track with the '40!
thanks... ya, i dont know whether to say its tough or just too much fun... haha... they keep me busy and out of trouble, for the most part...
update... well, before the cold hit, i got the cab set on the frame, inner fenders, grill, bed and hood all sitting together... ive been focusing on the 51 since spring is nearing and many people have told me it will never see the road again after the fire... so its kinda like a rub it in your face goal now... haha... ill post pics up of the 40 later on to let you see how it is coming together i still need rear fenders and running boards, anyone? thanks, odd ball
