GOODGUYS Texas Motor Speedway, You Going?

I got the tires mounted and put a better carb on it, but ran out of gas! haha. Worked from like 4:00 - 8:30. Still have the water pump to bolt on and radiator. We'll see how it goes.

 

Question to those in the know. I just read the Golden Rules and it states "NO cans or glass bottles are to be brought into facility grounds".

I "assume" that means that plastic bottles are acceptable. Is my assumption correct?

 

I hope so cuz that's what I'm "assumin" also. I know everything they sell there comes in plastic bottles (water/soda).

 

Friday in this.....my brothers will have their cars (66 chevy wagon & 66 plymouth) just look for the wrecking yard.

 

I've been chasing electrical gremlins all week that turned out to just be a bad ground...but in finding the bad ground, I guess I fucked up my ignition wire. So it will be hot wired, but the car will be there.

Hopefully tomorrow night I'll have it properly repaired.

 

I'll be there Fri-Sat in my 61 Impala, it should be a good show,.

I read that folks were planning to meet "somewhere by the stage", but no place desiganated, at least I don't think so, unless you're planning on going to Babe's tonight at 6:00

 

no, no Babes tonite. I dont even think i will get to leave OKC tonight. More like early tomorrow morning. So i guess i'll see some guys around on saturday.

Who's staying till Sunday? I can never get out there on Friday or Saturday. Hopefully next year. Who's is actually showing their car and trying to win an award?

Was hoping to get the coupe there, but didn't finish in time. Besides there are a lot of subtle visual things I want to do on the car before getting it out for people to see. If I drove it tomorrow, I would just be focusing on getting it to be a running driving car. My push is to get it to the Drags and Pistons and Paint.

i went today, 5 hours of straight walking and sun burnt like a b****, but it was all good, a lot of nice cars but wish the swap meet was a little bigger.. my bro and Ike from morbid rods will be there tomorrow showin off the 50 ford project, thats an older picture of it, dont have a newer one
