Looking for some 2" dropped spindles and disk brake kit for my 61 Mercury which has the same components as a 61 Ford. Not sure if Jamco is back in business yet, but any other suggestions on who has the setup?

Any conversion suggestions like a Granada or others to fit up to this setup?

Granada spindles are supposed to give you at least a 1" drop, and you get disc brakes while you are at it!

I did this swap on my '62 Galaxie and I've been happy with it. I know people have questioned the swap since the Granadas are a smaller car, but I've road tested and Autocrossed mine for the past year and they seem to be holding up just fine.

Hope this helps ya a little....

Do you know if those will work on a '63 Thunderbird?

    Thanks Malcom,

I may have to look into this a bit more. Looking to drop the front 2" if the Granada's drop an 1" I could cut 1" out of the coil springs as well.

The MercuryStuff.com article is a good one too.

Jamco is open, you may have to leave a message because the phones are not being answered full time right now. Jamco is in the mist of moving to Southern California and will be open full time by November.

Good guy/good shop. He is coming out with 2" dropped Granada spindles any day now. I'm running the Granada set-up on my '63 along with his slotted rotors.
