I'll just miss car show again! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=106106&page=2 I felt sure the show will on Sunday....... I'll be there on saturday night.......
Oh man, sucks that you'll miss the car show! The party/music at the show will still be going on till very late... some awesome bands playing that night. And you can still catch Killer Filler the next day (Sunday). We are playing at the Carrboro Music Festival that afternoon. Carrboro is about 20 minutes from your company in RTP. I'll email you details. Safe travels and catch ya soon. -murph
I might come out of hiding for this...we're thinking of making a move to the Raleigh area so I figure I should catch back up with some people.
Looking forward to seeing you guys on Friday. I really appreciate you guys pushing the show for us. -Jay
I can't get off work Friday in time to make it that night, but I'll be there Saturday morning. See y'all then.
Bump! Preparty starts tonight at Slim's Downtown. Car show tomorrow! Looking like 78 degrees for the high... and NO RAIN this year either. See ya there. -murph
Ha! My boss heard me on the phone say I wished I could leave early, and told me that he was leaving early and to have fun. I'll be able to make it for the party tonight.
Thanks to all that came out. Seemed to me everyone had a really good time. Pauly and Randy, thanks for everything. Murph, you guys rocked, shoot me a line and we'll get together and discuss some stuff. Kean, it was really nice to meet you and your lady. Hope you had a good time. Cheers-Jay
I want to thank the Vendettas for being great hosts and putting on a great show. Jay, thanks for everything, it is nice to feel welcome and you guys have a place to crash anytime you are in Atlanta. Murph, it was good to meet ya. If you did not go this year, put it on your to do list for next year. I'll post pics tomorrow.
Thanx for you guys kindness We had a very good time! Dose anyone post car show pix or start a new thread?
Thanks again to the Vendetta's for a killer car show this past weekend. The show gets bigger and better every year. While I think I heard there were slightly fewer cars in the lot, the quality outweighed the quantity, and Hideaway BBQ sure as hell was packed until LATE. And the venue this year was really great... awesome pulled pork sandwiches and a nice bar for music later in the evening. It was great to meet Big Pauly and hangout with all the show-goers between sets. Thanks for letting KF rock the parking lot... all the guys had a blast and are still talking about the top-chop that took place during our last set. I mean, it doesn't get much cooler than garage rock sounds accompanied by a cutting wheel. LOL Also, special thanks to IGOR for the insanely bitchin' retro-cool, Gene Krupa-style badge/striping that he laid on my bass drum head. F*ck it is bad ass! The lines he laid on the Straight-8's upright bass were also incredible. Stay tuned for the Friday art show... I plan to post a pic so everyone can check it out. Hey, did you happen to pickup the shop cord (on a reel) that I left there. Figures, I'm the only guy in the band that plays completely unamplified, and I leave my extension cord there. LOL Let's do it again next year. -murph
