We had a Mopar-meeting at a Dutch military museum this sunday where I had my wagon pose for the airplanes on display there.
There are no fins on my wagon, and the relationship between a war-plane and a 'family-wagon' is a bit thin :D but I've always wanted to take such a pic,

I have wanted to be able to ad to this post since it started. Well, today is the day, I picked up this 55 Chevy over the weekend. Its got a good running '66 327 w/3 on the tree w/pull out overdrive. Needs wiring, a little brake work, and a few patches in the floor. I plan to get it mechanically sound, lower it, throw on supremes and drive it like it is while I tare my Olds apart for a redo. Then it will get a full early 60's makeover.

does this count as a longroof? it is a 1957 Carryall and the title says stationwagon. I just dug this out of a barn...had not seen the light of day for more than 18 years!

OK, well this is frustrating. Is it just me or is it a pain to post photos here? I seem to be able to do it everywhere else just fine...

Yeah, my parents had bought a '59 mercury commuter 2-door wagon when i was a little kid and kept it until i was in high school then they gave it to my older brother who started to customize it in the early 80's then wrecked it, Dad had it hauled to the junkyard,{if i only knew then what i know now i would have talked him out of it } I'll ask pop to get some pic's of it. FINALLY got our own longroof to add to this post. It's a 1954 Plymouth Plaza Suburban 2 door wagon. We got it DIRT cheap from Scott at Blue Collar Customs, and couldn't pass it up. Been wanting to do a custom for a while now, and since it's not a highly desirable model, we won't feel bad about going crazy and not adhering to a strict restoration.

Plans are a 2" chop, 2" channel, 6" drop, maybe even a section if we get ambitious. Maybe airbags, and an early Hemi at some point, but we got a 350/350 for free until we find that. The 6 cylinder and overdrive will come out, despite how cool they are cause it will cost too much to get them going.

Attached also is a photoshop of what we want it to look like- we'll take the existing body accents and exxagerate them, maybe do some wood inlays in them, not sure. Tail lights will be chrome with some bullets, interior will be tuck and roll, stacked headlights, sunk in bent 2" chrome tubing for bumpers, wide whites and flipper caps, etc. just going for a cool old custom.

Here's a recent addition to the longroofs...from BCWagonmasters.com Did a forum members car in adobe illustrator, imported it into Adobe Photoshop and added more effects. This is about a 16 hr. job!

I don`t suppose anyone has pics of my old Buick? Bought it from a guy in Whittier and traded it to a guy somewhere in SoCal named Louis. Now its in the Autotrader. I would love some nice pics of it since I never really took any.
