Who has a picture of the unchopped '60s style T coupe that's flat black with purple flames? That's my favorite T of all time, just needs shinier paint.

Gotta Chop it, I think 6" is just aboiut right. I haven't chopped mine yet but here are pics of now and what it will look like once it's chopped, the proportions are just so much better after the chop!

for a diff look my son and i took a free coupe body with roof already cut off and under a shed, then chopped and installed a model a sedan roof cut down to a 5w. cant load pics but you can see in this summer trad rod & culture mag, i think issue before last.............................t/a coupe
p.s. to get correct belt line all around i had to split the cowl and raise 2 inches, about where a model a tank line is, else the bottom of the w/s is lower than the side glass.
p.p.s. also model a door tops spliced at the t side mould line finishes all and looks like a very late 27 model if there was one.......thanks

So,its kinda half and half. Some like it tall, and others wanna whack it.
I am really wondering here. I mean a model A yells out to be chopped, and my 32 is smashed, but Ts are a lil different...????

  19. ahh... mercury charlies coupe... big inspiration for me..

as far as the question of chop or not to chop, it's really up to you..

i kept mine unchopped initially because my body was so cherry i felt bad chopping it up. Then it became sort of a challenge for me to keep decent proportions with the unchopped body..

Chop it a little 5" should be about right and then channel it. That would work for me, but I'm tall. If I were shorter, I could see another couple of inches off the top.

I like both. Just depends... I don't think I'd ever want a severe chop on one that was mine, and a slight chop almost seems not worth the work since they look good tall.

As far as T coupes go, they don't get any nicer than this one.
