Matt Noble must love blocksanding!/ Worlds lowest Merc.

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Kiwi Kev, Sep 10, 2007.

  1. Matt Noble has a shop in Ventura doing all kinds of fabrication. If you ever get to check out any of the projects in his shop you will quickly realize he is very skilled at metal finishing He also does airbag intallations etc. The name of the shop is Noble Fabrication. Anyway he recently painted his radical merc' and man is it straight! I took a few pics of it today and thought I would share.

Here is Matt and his beautiful wife........

WOW! All of that work and effort!! That's an incredible amount of talent. Altho, I have to say, there gets to be a point where too much is just that, too much.

I love the work that went into it, but I think it's too flat and rectangular for me.

  9. WOW!

How much is that car sectioned and chopped?

I wish there were pics of that car before the radical metal work to it.
Most people would not have used it even as a donor car.
The cool thing about Matt is he could care less about what anyone else thinks.
He'll drive the f*ck out of it too!

Well then he's ahead of the game. It's not about opinion polls, it's about personal needs/wants. If someones that talented to bring something back from the grave, then he's a better man then most..........including you I'm sure.

kev,any idea of how many hours went into flatting it back?. Did he do it all himself or did he have (lots of ) help?
Actually as soon as I saw it ,Cliff Inman's '57 Chysler came to mind.

After a few beers Matt will tell the story of how he got this $400 merc.
The bottom 6-10 inches completely rotted, so he cut em off.
The top part was so rusted, the same had to be done.
All this was done while doing customers cars too,
and he used the primer nationals as an unrealistic deadline both years.
The interior/seats weren't even installed at midnight before the show!
The body and paint are so flawless the change is truly amazing.

    You're funny! A hypocrite and a comedienne!
And yes when it comes to insanely perfect finish bondowork...!

  18. Wow! That's amazing. Awesome job and lots of elbow grease.

  19. I don't like it. Send it to my house for a while and I see if I can't drive the thing and fix it. :D :D
Very nice, it is low and shiney.

Its always refreshing to see a car customizer actually finish his OWN personal car... Nice work Matt!!

(Its like the the old saying about plumbers having leaky pipes at their own house.)

love the car hate the headlights.just looks wrong..everything else looks tits!

  24. I agree completely. Awesome car.

  25. Wow, you CAN apparently polish a turd! ....................if you got the chops.

  26. I love the car and the headlights are personal taste. When I looked at the first picture I thought of the Sniper Plymouth, that how strong those headlights draw the eye. I prefer the stock brow because of several Mercs from the past that I loved.
    The quality is absolutely outstanding.

Man! Straight is straight, you can't argue 'bout that, beautiful work, any more pics of the girl?

  28. Wow the car is awesome! I have nothing negative to say about such a work of art by such an artisan. That is a big expanse of sheetmetal to get nice enough to paint black. He must be very talented and patient.

He's definitely a pro longboarder--and I don't mean the kind that hangs 10. Those are some incredibly flat/smooth panels.

What I want to know, though, is why are there carbs and an intake sitting on top of that RPU's hood?

  30. RF....McCulloch blown flathead with 2 carb adapter.......
