Thanks, and I do subscribe. I would like to know more about the wheel set-up. I found a guy to build a couple of 5" wide rears but I'm not sure about the right brakes I need and the bolt pattern on the A wheels, etc. etc.

So far as I know, Model A wheels interchange with the Ford V8 wire spoked wheels through 1935. That means they've got the same style brake drum support system (although As use a stamped steel drum rather than cast iron). Lots of Model A guys run hydraulic brakes with their original wheels (for safety's sake, I'd look into adding one of the Tardel juicer-to-spoker adapters), or run '35 wires with their original drums. That means the bolt pattern is 5 on 5.5" for the entire run of the Ford spoker (excluding the Model T wheel, of course).

They aren't exactly known for their incredible strength, however, so if you really want a 19x5 or 21x5 wire wheel, you might consider contacting Dayton, I believe they'll make them in any bolt pattern you want.

This is all pure hearsay, of course, and you might want to double check what I've said with some of the Model A restorers as they've got all the experience I just cited.

Hey lazyv8, do you have any pics of the front end (spring radiator leafspring setup)? it's kinda what I've had in mind for my '27 rpu and I'm trying find some detail pics of setups similar to yours.

Man...I love T Coupe threads! Here is a pic of mine just to keep the thread up to hopefully get some more posts on here. My car is a total shitbox compared to all the others posted, but it is supposed to be. It will get some patch panels and some color after I finish my other project. For now it is just a beater hot rod.




Picture credit goes out to some cool fellow HAMB'ers (sorry don't remember your names) I met at the HAMB Drags this year when we first rolled in. This was at the hotel right before we headed out to the strip.
