Am I the only one who thinks the nose is too blunt?

Maybe some peak over the lights would help the nose profile?
and matching the beltline height to the cowl -photoshop anyone?

Man, I envie those with such vision to turn a rusty piece of iron into something soo cool.

This one was done by a guy a few miles from me. He does some creative stuff.

Now every time I go to the junk yard (about once a week) I try to see some of those old rusted 50's and 60's beaters as something recreated into a cool fenderless rod.

I think it needs those chromed "cabinet handle" style square things on the grille insert all the 60's show cars used. And on the peaks of whats left of the front fefnders, some forward pointing antennas frenched in.... maybe?

WOW and I thought my 60 el was going to be radical!!! This is cool. Keep the build shots coming!
Both of my 60 el's were worse or as bad as this started. You just have to cut the heck out of them to salvage 'em.
I dig all the various GM parts being creatively used: 63 chev truck hood as a rollpan, parts of the fins as a tail gate, 58 chev lights , 59 trunk style roof peak...
Can't wait to see it when done!

And here is another unsolicited idea for ya.. put another speedo housing on the passenger side , and throw a clock or some gauges in it....
If you need an extra I could send you one.

I´m sorry guys but this one looks like a circus car and it´s only fenderless in the front ! It has radials and the windshield looks crappy. I know it´s a lot of work on this car but for me the aesthetic aspect is very important on a 50/60´s show car. Maybe this edsel would look better as a fendered pick up ? just my 2 cents.

To answer a couple of questions, it took about 3 days off and on to cut it down the center and put it back together, I cut the rear of the body off 1st then the front end and finally the center cut . About the glass, I'm gonna cut a stock windshield down the center and just seam it, atleast I plan to sart with that. Von Doc

    Whoa!
As many people already have said, "Dare to be different".
The first thing I thought when I read the name of the thread was "What kind of jerk is this? He has to be mad!" but now I have to say that this was one of the coolest cars I've seen for long... It certainly has a nice 60s showcar feeling, though I would have made the front slightly different I think, but hey, this is not my car...
    Awesome.
