HAHAHA! That Street Beast shit hit me just right. Thanks Hatch for the laugh. That is badass that they found it. Most people think it is ugly but I have always thought it was cool, maybe because I'm ugly too. I'm jealous. Congrats to the new owner though. It is good to see sick stuff is still out there to be had. Greg
Exactly. Roth made up crazy stories about all this cars, and sometimes didn't even bother to remember to tell the same story twice. (Heck, he claimed that three-color-light setup actually worked, didn't he?) That was all part of his larger-than-life charm, and why he will be remembered as a great American icon, like P.T. Barnum with fiberglass and plaster dust on his trousers. This story sounds like something he himself would come up with, just to goof on the squares. It doesn't need to be true to be truthful, if you know what I mean.
this is such a cool story great the car has resurfaced I love old show cars , porn, and carnivals What a day
I like the naked girl art. It looks like an old "Rod Serling's Night Gallery" piece. Turkish bath house? HAHAHA
I'm sure it's staged, but who cares. Like Coop666 said, it makes sense that it's staged with a wacky story- So Ed Roth...Any way you slice it though, it seems to be THE car and that is cool enough...
Cool find............... Just a thought..........Texas.......Ryan lives there now..........hmmmmmm......
How cool is that! Old glass seems to have taken a licking but held up O.K. Wierd, I think the front rims are the same kind I put on an old Postal Jeep I drove around (on Bias plys., no less.I don't recommend it; very unstable.)
A trash can in front of an adult bookstore. You might want to soak 'er down in a tub of bleach before the teardown starts... who the hell knows what coulda been in there.
I am about 98 percent sure that I've been in the shop those pictures were taken in within the last three months. (Not the porn shop, the other one.) If so, then you can be assured that the car is in good hands....and that the story is more than likely true.
Wow..too cool but couldnt help but to chuckle to see the 3x2 set up intact. (???) Regardless, a kool find like that '32 Roadster for a thousand bucks!!
OK you guys, my grandpa is THE Perry Mason and he is going to put an end to all this speculation bullshit. I have him on the case and I expect within several weeks the real story will be revealed in the court room by the guilty party. Stay tuned as he always gets his man!
i can't believe it's that complete. i thought it would be just a shell. wow i wonder how he found it and i'm sure they're pissed after the found out what it was.
That is just Great, What city in Mexico did they find it in??? I just got back from Saltillo Mexico last week...Lots of cool old cars I bet he had a real hard time getting it across the boarder. I was just pulling down a trailer and got stopped 4 times just for a taillight. I can't tell you how much I love these old customs. I had a 1948 custom that we showed in the Iowa area during the 70's and the crowds just loved it.
Today I was in the office and had this posting pulled up. I was scrolling down past the photos when one of the older guys I work with comes in and looks over my shoulder and says "Hey, that looks like an old Ed Roth car or something".......... Cool man.
