There is NOTHING better on this planet, then a 58 Chevy of ANY model. Sex, food and air were all factored into that statement.
I used to not care about the 58's, but in the last few years, they've really grown on me. There's some really good shapes going on, it was a good design. Definitly on my wanted list.
I love the 58 and I'm in the process of trying to pry one out of an idiots hands ! He's gonna " fix it up " someday for the last 15 years now ! I've got him pretty worn down now and I think he losing his storage spot ! Wish me luck !
I went to check on a junk convertible that was pushed over in a hollow on the back of this guys farm years ago I remembered a guy telling me about it, about 15 years ago so I went back to check on it to see how bad it was but I was a couple years too late, somebody had already drug it out,at least it was a car guy though and it wasnt hauled to the crusher.
This was taken a few years ago. Somebody from Bakersfield ought to recognize it... The car has air-ride and at this point the interior had not been finished yet. Really nice car. -Troy
good luck low budget. I wish you guy's would have never started this one. my first car/project was a 58 impala i bought off the original owner for $1800.00, before that day i had never seen one. well half way through my build lost my job and storage place so had to sell. some day ill get another one i hope
Belongs to a Loco Bandito *Kurt*. Nicest guy on the planet. Car was hit a while ago and I do believe that they are in the process of repairing it. He drug that car out of a dirt lot behind an oilfield company for a wooden nickel.
Here is one I had back in the early 80's. I also had a 58 Biscayne. Got the Impala for $300.00 from the original owner. Got the Biscayne for $500.00 with new paint job and rebuilt motor. Wish I still had the Impala.
Here's mine. Had this since 81. The engine is the 348 and seats came out of the one I started in 79. Scrapped that one when I bought this in Texas just outside Ft. Worth. Flat towed it home down what was left of Route 66 and the rest on I-44. Still has the original seats and door panels. Panels are in tuff shape. Show lots of wear.
Does anybody have some nice pics of the "graffiti impala" ?? Is the car still around ? just curious...
It's not an Impala, its not a two door, it is a 58, she is all mine, and even the fat ugly girl needs a date to the prom!!
I thought this would fit here, too, somewhat. '58-'67 were good years for the Impala in my book. http://youtube.com/watch?v=mppMPqfe1FY
