49-54 chevy truck frame question

how wide are they- front, middle, and back. my buddy wants to know for a project.

 

I'm going from memory here so it may not be 100% exact (IE I dont remember where I took the measurement, I believe it was from out side to outside)

Front was 38"
back was 48"
middle (right behind the cab) 40"

 

i just measured a 54 frame. 25 at the front frame rail ends, 35 at the dropped c/m behind the cab, 38 1/2 at the c/m that the emergency shaft runs through, and 46 1/2 at the end of the rear frame rails.these are all out side to out side.a 54 frame is different where the rails run under the bed but i dont think there is any difference in the width.
