so I'm in the detriot area now with some free days and need something to do?any local hambers have any good things to do?any shops around?how is the henry ford mesuem and factory tour?thanks in advance guys,Ryno
Go immediately to the Henry Ford Museum! Very cool stuff and more than just automotive. Other than that my advise is to keep your head down and flack helmet on at all times!
hang out till this weekend and go to the dream cruise on woodward, there will be cruising all week on gratiot, telegragh and woodward from what the locals say.
Go to Woodward Ave. between 8 mi. and Pontiac any evening, up to the Cruise on Saturday Aug.18, and you will have plenty to see and do. Do see the Henry Ford museum, too. Red
I'm actually in town for the dream cruise doing marketing for an oversees automotive co. .Is any one heading to the cruise?if so look me up.I'll have a big airstream trailer with import cars around it handing out some free stuff.I know I know it's just a job guys!!!
any one intrested in doing a meet and greet and possibly doing the henry experience???any time this week would work for me.
Other things to do... The Walter P. Chrysler Museum in Auburn Hills. Along with the Henry Ford Museum, the complex also has Greenfield Village, and tours of the Ford Rouge Plant (Builds the F Series trucks). For dinner, check out Greektown (in the downtown area near the Greektown Casino). There are great restuarants all around Detroit as well. Windsor, across the river, has some of the best 'ballet' bars anywhere. Royal Oak, near Woodward, has been the trendy place for dinner and clubs. Kart-2-Kart in Sterling Heights is an indoor cart track. They are a little pricey, but a lot of fun. There are 3 Casinos in Detroit. The MGM Grand Detroit, The Motorcity Casino, and the already mentioned Greektown Casino. There is also a casino in Windsor. Unfortunately, the Tigers will be in Cleveland and New York the rest of the week.
